What is Yi Yi Ren?
Yiyiren has a few names. It is called Job's Tears, Coix seeds, sometimes nicknamed Chinese pearl barley or Asian barley. However, it is not a type of barley. The broad-leaved, branched grass is native to tropical Asia. It is considered a nutritious health food in Asia for numerous benefits. In Chinese medicine, Yiyiren is known for its ability in facilitating the resolution of dampness and expelling pus. It is common to see people with eczema having excessive dampness in the body.
Here's how to make the tea.
Ingredients
One pack of Yi Yi Ren Tea (Yiyiren & Licorice)
1 drop of Olive oil or vegetable oil (To bring out the function of Yiyiren)
1 liter of Water
Steps
Combine all ingredients and start boiling over high heat
When start boiling, turn the heat down to medium heat and keep boiling until Yiyiren are softened, and the tea is with a slightly white and creamy color, about 40 min to 1 hr
Turn off the heat and serve warm
Dosage
Drink the tea 3 times a day between meals or anytime, in the amount of 150-200ml each time. Yiyiren is edible.
Keep drinking the tea for a period of time until improvement is observed
For better result, limit the intake of greasy food, dairy, food with heavy spices, and sweets
